Abstract :
We devise a data-fusion method based on the concept of Hybrid Systems that use oil-in-gas measurements from collected insulating oil samples and acoustic emission monitoring data to increase the knowledge of the operating conditions of power transformers. The resulting failure mode probabilities portray not only the past history of the transformer, but also its present. Results based on simulation models developed using literature data confirm the method´s potential.
