Abstract :
Chlorophyll-a (Chl.a) estimation in Lake Shinji, Japan from Landsat-8 OLI data using Linear Combination Index (LCI) algorithm is conducted. The OLI data was converted Rayleigh corrected reflectance (Rtr) and the Rtr was applied to LCI equation for the OLI. Four satellites / in situ data set in May and September 2013, April and July 2014 were collected. As a result, a significant correlation was observed between LCI for the OLI and in situ Chl.a. The correlation coefficient and root mean squire error are 0.66 and 4.2 μg L-1 respectively. The average Chl.a distribution in the lake estimated from PLI data was low in littoral region relatively.
