Abstract :
This work presents two field campaigns performed between December 2014 and June 2015 in order to better understand the behavior of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) reflected signals over land. The instruments used in both field campaigns are briefly introduced. One of them is focused on circular polarization, whereas the other is focused on linear polarization (horizontal and vertical). In one field experiment there is evidence of multipath due to the antenna performance. A method to mitigate it is proposed in this work. Finally, some preliminary soil moisture estimations using vertical polarization are shown.
