  • Abstract
    An all optical packet forwarding architecture using a single Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA)-based Mach-Zehnder Interferometer (SOA-MZI) will be studied. The forwarding unit and the AND gate are combined in an all-optical XOR gate. Error-free functionality was achieved at 10 Gbps for two cascaded nodes.
