  • Abstract
A theoretical model is proposed for calculating microstreaming generated by two interacting bubbles in an acoustic field. Numerical simulations are performed to compare the characteristics of acoustic microstreaming at different driving frequencies, interbubble distances and bubble sizes. It is shown that the interaction of the bubbles results in considerably increasing the intensity of the microstreaming if the bubbles are driven near resonance frequencies that they have in the presence of each other. Examples of streamlines for different situations are provided.
