Abstract
When a thin liquid layer is formed on a surface acoustic wave (SAW) propagation surface, mist is generated on the liquid-layer surface. This phenomenon is called an atomization. Compared with a conventional ultrasonic atomizer, the mist generated by the SAW device is sufficiently small. The mist diameter depends on a frequency. In this paper, mist diameter and quantity of mist are discussed by changing the frequency. The influence of the input power to the mist diameter is experimentally discussed. Then, nano-colloid material is mixed in water and then mist with nano-colloid is generated for sterilization and eradication in atmosphere.
