  • Abstract
The reliability of modern industrial networks depends on many factors. Due to the complexity of communication systems there are many ways how to compromise data in communication networks. Due to these facts it is necessary to use a new ways of faults detection. The article describes the possible use of data mining techniques in association with classic detection systems such as IDS and firewall. The main part of the article is a proposal of fault detection system using KDD techniques and description of data flows in proposed system.
