Abstract
Compressive sensing is receiving attention for resource-limited remote-sensing platforms as an alternative to direct digitization of GHz-band RF signals. Microwave photonics can efficiently implement the random measurement matrices used in conventional compressive sensing schemes. Here we recover chirped long-pulse signals using a photonic multi-coset sampling system and orthogonal matching pursuit. Results are presented for superposed 20 MHz/30 μs pulses at a carrier frequency of 2.453 GHz.
