Abstract :
The synchronisation of generators is one of the most sophisticated control problems in electrical power systems. In publications from the field of system theory, Non-Uniform Kuramoto Oscillators has been suggested as an appropriate tool for analysing this problem. The authors of this publication have a background in power engineering and have applied the suggested methodology to a benchmark problem. The paper presents the application and results and argues the applicability of the methodology from a power systems point of view.
