Abstract :
In lots of control systems for recent applications, their components are interconnected to various information networks. In such systems, transmission data rate limitation is ubiquitous among these components. In addition, detection of malicious attack is an urgent issue. In this paper, to manage such situations, replay attack detection in control systems with quantized signals is studied. We propose a novel scheme where dithering noise plays a role of randomizing quantization error and also of a time stamp for detecting the malicious data manipulation. In order to evaluate the resulting regulation and detection ability, we extend our previous results on the stationary variance approximation in control systems with random dither quantization. The effectiveness is exhibited through numerical examples.
