Abstract :
This Letter presents the results of calculations of the natural and technical linewidth of a self-oscillating magnetometer with optical pumping of alkali atoms in the saturation regime. Using the obtained expressions for the linewidth of SOPMs, it is possible to estimate their real resolving power and assess variants of improving this parameter by optimization of the regime of self-sustained oscillations in the feedback chain.
