Abstract
In the paper we are presenting a novel Mach-Zehnder modulator driver in which a stabilization of an operating point is based on comparing the mean and AC RMS values of the output optical signal. Tests performed using the built prototype of the driver showed that the circuit is capable of operation with very stable propagation delay, compensating any potential shift of the modulator transfer characteristic.
