Abstract
Experimental reforming of ethanol was conducted in the plasma-catalytic reforming system based on rotating gliding discharge. The reforming system utilizes nonequilibrium atmospheric pressure plasma for the initiation and support of conversion chemical reactions. The paper provides the properties of the discharge system and data obtained from the analysis of the ethanol reforming products. The dependences of the produced gas composition and reforming efficiency parameters on the plasma-generating discharge power are presented. The system developed for the hydrocarbon reforming has shown high reforming efficiency and electrical energy transformation coefficient that give this system sufficient advantage to compete with other similar prototypes of reforming systems.
