  • Abstract
    Generation of ozone from oxygen or oxygen-containing gas mixtures in industrial installations carried out by various methods: electrochemical, UV-generating, electrophysical. For ozone generation, used for medical purposes, the most effective method is using a volume barrier discharge. The barrier discharge in the discharge chamber is caused by high-voltage AC, which is applied to its electrodes, separated by one or two insulators and the gas gap. At the same major problem is to calculate the parameters of the discharge chamber and dimensioning of the electric power supplied to it. This is necessary to ensure a given level of concentration at the outlet of the discharge chamber. In addition, an important role played by width and temperature of the gas gap, as it determines the degree and intensity of the destruction of ozone.
