Fast functional prototyping of user interfaces based on DataForm models, a tool (ToolDataForm)

In this paper, a tool based on DataForm models for rapid generation of functional prototypes of user interfaces is proposed. A DataForm is a specification that captures, in a single representation, both the data (Data) that are communicated through the user interface and the user´s mental model (Form). A DataForm model eliminates the subjectivity of the developer and it includes the subjectivity of the user. A DataForm model is connected to different patterns (data patterns, patterns of presentation and interaction patterns) at the domain level, these patterns incorporate the subjectivity of both developers and the business experts. In this manner, the tool promotes rapid generation, in minutes, of functional prototypes of user interfaces and their respective domain data integration.
