Abstract :
For elderly people, the difficulty in communicating their condition especially the health condition during disaster is one of the problems in which delay on immediate handling by rescue team can cause death. Providing a solution for this problem is one of the main issues in our research. With its flexibility to implement and the capability to save relatively larger data than other types of barcode, we propose QR Code as the media to convey the elderly people´s data to be put on daily necessities such as clothes. However, since the amount of data is large, we divide the data encoded in QR Code into personal and health data. In this paper, we also discuss image-processing method to handle colorful QR Code in the reading process. Moreover, in order to save QR Code reading time we also introduce multiresolution method for recognizing and reading multiple QR Code.
