Abstract
In this paper, for the basic problem of wireless sensor network topology control and deployment, the Roesser model in 3-D rectangular grid sensor networks is presented. Then, a new elementary operation approach (EOA) to the Roesser model realization problem in grid sensor networks for multidimensional (n-D) systems is proposed. The new approach can always generate a standard or regular realization for an arbitrarily given n-D causal transfer function. Specifically, the realization problem can be reduced as an elementary operation problem of n-D polynomial matrix. Moreover, the general realization procedure will be proposed, which can be easily implemented by a computer program. Moreover, this procedure can generate a Roesser model realization with lower order than the existing methods. Finally, a non-trivial example of 3-D regular wireless sensor network will be given to illustrate the details as well as the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
