Abstract :
This paper describes the 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) standard requirements related to channel turbo coding. There are discussed the corresponding decoding methods and a decoding algorithm is selected based on complexity versus decoding performances balance. The proposed decoding structure is evaluated in different radio environments, with several connection settings, and considering variable values for some decoding parameters. The results can serve as reference for specific implementation on digital signal processors or field programmable gate arrays.
