Abstract :
The iterative image reconstruction algorithms for fluorescence molecular tomography are usually computationally expensive for the existence of large number of unknowns. In this paper, a multigrid image reconstruction algorithm for fluorescence molecular tomography is presented. In this method, the prior information obtained from structural imaging modality is incorporated in the process of grid generation. Further, the Jacobian matrix is calculated based on the point source function. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can significantly accelerate the reconstruction process with improved quality of reconstructed image.
