Abstract :
The human-machine interface (HMI) constructs novel interactions between human and machines, which usually focuses on complex, dynamic control systems for some special surroundings such as the outer space. This paper introduces a human-machine interface system aiming to control aerospace robot to implement some outer space tasks. In the system, multi-modal biological signals of electroencephalogram (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) were extracted quickly and accurately by means of wavelet packet method to analyze the useful features and motion commands for the aerospace robot were transmitted accordingly. The real-time experiments indicated the feasibility and reliability of the multi-modal aerospace robot control system. This research explores a novel way for astronaut working with aerospace robot in the complicated outer space and it has a crucial meaning for the progress of HMI.
