Abstract
Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR) is a technique in Volt-Var Control (VVC) of distribution feeders which basically reduces the voltage level to reduce power consumption and losses. In order to achieve the benefits of CVR, extraction of ZIP coefficients are essential. The CVR technique can also be used by integrating Distributed Energy Resources (DER) on the distribution feeder. A ZIP coefficient extraction technique is discussed using the traditional load models and implementing them in PV-integrated utility distribution feeders for the purpose of this study. Simulation analysis is done using the voltage profile, power losses, and CVR factors at different voltage operating point.
