Abstract :
High penetration of distributed generation (DG) brings several challenges as well as opportunities in distribution system. In order to exploit maximum benefits out of DGs, it is essential to understand the impact of various parameters on system performance such as DG location, smart inverter settings, set points and bandwidths of existing control devices etc. This paper will investigate impact of all the settings on steady state performance and present a comprehensive sensitive analysis of a DG integrated distribution feeder. Relationships among various parameters and system performance indices will be inferred from the study. Sensitivity levels of various settings will be identified to develop better insight into the system and to explore full potential of DG.
