  • Abstract
In this testing paper, the computer-based method for analysing power flow and fault studies will be introduced. Specifically, a commercial power system analysis package IPSA+ will be introduced and used in this test. The objective of this testing report is to introduce the fundamentals of IPSA+ and the analytical methods of power flow and fault using IPSA+. Specifically, we design a five-step testing process to systematically study the implementation of IPSA+ in terms of power flow analysis and fault analysis. Also, manual calculated results are presented to compare the results produced by IPSA+ so that the accuracy and data processing algorithm embedded in IPSA+ could be revealed to some extent. By reading this paper, the readers are not only expected to understand how to utilize IPSA+ to carry out a series of analysis in power engineering, but also obtain a full picture of software-assisted analytical methodology in this area.
