Abstract
Ontology, not only addresses the issues pertaining to syntactic interoperability, which arises due to heterogeneously distributed traffic transportation data and different storage modes, but also ensures semantic interoperability caused by cognitive and naming heterogeneity. In this paper, in order to provide a basis for integrated ontology in the taxi operation domain, we abstract and construct ontology for urban taxi operation. To construct the ontology, we analyze the meta concepts and their relations. Subsequently, we develop concept query ability on data level and semantic level for the ontology. Eventually, we implement a Taxi Operation Query System based on the proposed ontology, and also conduct our preliminary experimental verification. Using real instances and query, the experimental results show that our ontology has good performance.
