Abstract
This work will discuss the design, development and testing of a data logger of lightning occurrence to the Amazon region, the developed device uses as sensor one whip antenna to measure the radiation of the vertical electric field component emitted by lightning, a GPS module for the record time of the event occurrences and a SD memory card to record the information of lightning incidence. The sensor was tested for a week and had hourly lightning accumulation similar to those found in previous works carried out in the same area of study.
