Abstract :
The present paper presents a graphical pre-processor developed to work with the Alternative Transients Program. The aim of this work is to provide aid to the analysis of transients of low, mid and high frequencies in power substations. The developed software incorporates features to represent the electrical equivalent connected to substations, as well the models of Power Transformers, Instrument Transformers, Surge Arresters, Switch Breakers and any other substation component that needs to be represented with greater detail. As application examples, it is shown the analysis of transients caused by a sympathetic inrush of a Power Transformer and the voltage behavior of a Capacitive Coupling Voltage Transformer during a lightning stroke in a substation belonged to the Brazilian National Interconnected System.
