Abstract :
This paper presents a new hardware design for a surveillance and controling system of a medium voltage withdrawable cell. The proposed design is based on a development board- Wilke Technology, at it is core being the Tiny Tiger 2 Multitasking Computer microcontroller with memory capacities of 2 MByte or 4 MByte FLASH for program and data, plus 1 MByte SRAM with Backup Input. In this paper I made a comparison between medium voltage withdrawable cell that are out of use and the ones used at present. After this analysis the hardware part of the development board extended to cover the surveillance and control requirements of the medium voltage withdrawable cell. On the software part a Delphi interface was created which communicate on the serial port with the developing board. The created interface executes the surveillance commands and functions of the medium voltage withdrawable cell.
