Abstract :
The paper presents the application of the rules-based method to the non-intrusive identification of electrical energy appliances in the household. This up-to-date problem consists in three stages: detection of turning the device on or off, calculating its features based on the measured current and identifying the specific device. All stages were described in detail, including the description of the newly proposed rules induction algorithm. The tests conducted on the laboratory data show the advantages and disadvantages of the approach with the suggested modifications in the future.
