Abstract :
The vertical axis wind turbine has advantages on the ordinary areas, which lead to a fast development in recent years. But its wind turbine has various forms and the flow field has complex environment, so the power generation law is not easy to control and the performance of wind turbines usually is not conducive to further study. In order to solve this problem, a new method is proposed, which simulates the wind wheel to rotate by using the CFD software, calculates the mechanical torque of wind turbine, then use the Simulink platform to build a power generation system model of wind machine, calculating the produced power of generator. Finally, the characteristics of presented wind turbine´s power generation are analyzed. The presented method can be applicable to other types of wind turbines´ control, especially for the vertical axis wind turbine, which has important significance of research.
