Abstract :
A novel approach to photonic generating ultra-wideband (UWB) signals based on a multi-tap microwave photonic filter (MPF) structure is proposed. By configuring the MPF, a tunable notch-band can be introduced to the spectral profile of the generated UWB signals, which can effectively avoid the signal interference between UWB signals and the pre-planned Wi-Fi wireless signals. The proposed approach is verified by both theoretical analyses and computer simulations.
