Abstract
The selection of active units is an essential task for sensor networks because it allows to increase the service life of the networks while guaranteeing coverage. In this paper, we propose a fully distributed method for active units selection that automatically adapts to sensors extinction without activating unnecessary idle units. This method relies on both of the use of homology and the discrete Morse theory.
