Robust RZ to NRZ format converter based on linear joint temporal-spectral self-imaging and band-pass filtering

We propose and demonstrate a robust, linear RZ-to-NRZ conversion technique that operates without highly constrained spectral line-suppressor filters. We experimentally achieve error-free RZ-to-NRZ data conversion at 10Gbps with frequency drifts in the signal carrier as large as a few GHz.
