Abstract
Since its initial implementation in the early 1940, the PCB (printed circuit board) has followed a long way, starting to become more and more complex over the years. In the last three decades, the use of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) solutions in electronics industry has become a requirement. The paper presents the steps needed to design properly, based on CAD (Computer Aided Design) techniques, a PCB structure according to the industrial standards. The virtual system created is a complete multi-media environment for development of PCB electronic modules, which contains presentations, images, graphs, audio and video files that, combined, create a proper teaching tool for development activities of electronic modules.
