Abstract :
Drastic reduction of test setup debug effort after silicon availability is required. This is achieved by using an early prototype, in parallel to chip design, much before silicon is available. A FPGA is used to emulate chip digital behavior and emulation boards are used to substitute analog models. Fails injection, parameters randomization, multi-site test environment and pressure stimuli response is obtained. Outcome is significant timeline reduction, while increasing quality level of test setup and testability of the chip.
