Abstract :
A design for a Slotted Dielectric Resonator Antenna is presented and analyzed. The introduction of a thin slot in a simple rectangular DRA results in increased bandwidth. Microstrip line feeding is used in the design taking into consideration ease of fabrication. The proposed design shows a wide bandwidth of about 83% covering the frequency range 3.08 GHz to 7.47 GHz. Comparison of cases for different number and sizes of slots has also been done.
