Abstract
Due to their small size, microstrip patch antennas are widely used in the design of portable wireless communication equipments. Designing a patch antenna with reduced size, for a given band is major area of research these days. Optimization algorithms are widely explored by researchers for calculating the parameters of a patch antenna for a given resonance frequency. In this paper, a microstrip patch antenna has been designed for Ku band. The results have been compared with the earlier published work.
