Abstract :
This work describes an articulated mechanism for emulating a human foot during gait, in order to perform footwear comfort tests. The configuration of the mechanism is described, and its kinematic properties are evaluated by means of simulation results compared to experimental data. It is concluded that the mechanism is satisfactory in most aspects, but some improvements can still be achieved before the actuators that will move the mechanism are developed.
