Abstract :
In hybrid broadcasting environments, the clients play the streaming data such as video or audio while receiving them. When the data reception is later than the time to start playing the data, the interruption of playing the data occurs. Some methods reduce the interruption time by broadcasting the data cyclically according to the pre-defined broadcast schedule and increasing the chances for clients to receive the data. However, pre-defined broadcast schedules are static and do not consider the data that clients have already received. By broadcasting data considering this, the server can further reduce the interruption time. Hence, in this paper, I propose sn interruption time reduction method that dynamically consider the data that clients have already received.
