Abstract
For eLoran to be truly useful as a backup system to GNSS it must offer significant coverage for accurate positioning. Research in differential-Loran is very new and, until we understand more about the characteristics of spatial decorrelation of differential corrections, Port Approach Phase eLoran will be limited in coverage area due to the assumed geographical range of validity of the differential corrections emanating from a reference station.
