Abstract :
Manufacturing enterprises nowadays urge for efficiency improvement, adaptability and production systems´ sustainability. The formation of manufacturing networks is gaining ground as and effective and efficient solution; nevertheless, the effective end-to-end management of such a formation is more than challenging. The paper at hand aims to introduce and describe a novel approach towards managing Dynamic Manufacturing Networks, based on a Blueprint Model, targeting to achieve seamless collaboration amongst the various actors in such a network. The methodology under consideration introduces an end-to-end manufacturing solution, supporting the uninterrupted flown and exploitation of production information. The main benefits identified, as well as potential risks mitigated through the application of the proposed methodology are also included in the paper at hand.
