  • Abstract
This paper presents a cost analysis of a plug-in hybrid power supply system for an electric mini- excavator using mixed-integer linear programming. The aim of this study is to find the best component sizing and the optimal control assigned in order to minimize the total cost of ownership (TCO) of the hybrid power supply system according to a predefined power cycle. The optimization problem is modeled by a combinatorial approach and solved with a Branch and Bound algorithm. The integration of a plug-in system is evaluated and compared with a non-rechargeable hybrid electric machine.
