Abstract :
In order to meet the Chinese passenger car fleet- average fuel consumption of 5.0 L/100km by 2020, automakers need to adopt advanced technologies and bear the corresponding incremental costs. This research is about effect of fuel efficiency and cost analysis of advanced technologies. CO2 data of seven kinds of passenger cars were simulated by Ricardo model, and baseline adjustment were made to tailor to Chinese situations. Costs data were also gathered to develop the cost curves of Chinese passenger cars to analyze the fuel-saving technical potentials in Chinese market.
