THE MACHTEY AWARD FOR BEST STUDENT PAPER: The program committee of FOCS 2015 is pleased to present the Machtey Award for Best Student Paper, which is given annually at FOCS to the most outstanding paper(s) written solely by one or more students, jointly to the following two papers: "Lower Bounds for Clique vs. Independent Set" by Mika Goos and "A Faster Cutting Plane Method and its Implications for Combinatorial and Convex Optimization" by Yin Tat Lee, Aaron Sidford, and Sam Chiu-wai Wong. BEST PAPER AWARD: The program committee of FOCS 2015 is pleased to present the Best Paper Award to the paper "An average-case depth hierarchy theorem for Boolean circuits" by Benjamin Rossman, Rocco A. Servedio, and Li-Yang Tan.
