Abstract
Device-to-device (D2D) communication extends the traditional cellular system allowing geographically close devices to communicate directly, leading to improved spectral efficiency and decreased traffic load of base stations. Nevertheless, there are still some issue to solve before this technology can become a reality. One of them is security. In this work, we propose an encryption scheme in which stereotypes are created based on the place characteristics. Such stereotypes are composed of attributes. These attributes are then leveraged to create keys that are used to encrypt the communication between the devices. These keys will reflect different levels of trust each one used in different communication channels.
