A thing ID-based IoT internetworking framework

To overcome limitations of existing silo type IoT, a internetworking framework is essential. IPv6 based internetworking framework is state of the art technology. However, since the IPv6 based framework still follows the original IP networking concepts, it inevitably inherit its limitations. This paper proposes a new internetworking framework optimized to the IoT environment under the name of MOFI-IoT. Qualitative comparison shows that MOFI-IoT has many advantages in larger scale constrained IoT environments compared to current IPv6 based one.
