Abstract :
Since conventional relay system is based on orthogonal two-phase transmission, where time slots for source and relay are exclusively allocated to avoid interference, the conventional relay schemes suffer from the reduction in spectral efficiency. In this paper, we propose cognitive radio (CR) based parallelized relaying scheme which maximizes spectral efficiency. The proposed scheme allows parallel transmission of different relaying pairs, while controls additional interference between different transmission pairs by using CR technique to achieve the maximum spectral efficiency.
