  • Abstract
    In this paper, we analyze and propose modifications of UGP (Unified Gateway Protocol) to achieve compatibility with Cooperative ITS station architecture (ISO 21217). The UGP and vehicle station gateway (VSG) standard is for accessing vehicle bus data from smart car and cooperative ITS applications. They have been proposed and discussed as part of the ISO Standard Projects in ISO TC204 & TC22. We analyze the UGP and the Facilities in cooperative ITS station and propose modifications of additional procedures for ITS-S profile selection and SAPs (Service Access Points).
