Abstract
This paper proposes an efficient signaling procedure for stationary machine type devices (MTDs). In the proposed scheme, network nodes store the parameters for the stationary MTDs in order to reduce the signaling overhead which can be generated during the configuration parameter setup process. In addition, by using the stored parameters, MTDs can transmit the small-sized data with the reduced signal procedure. The numerical results have shown that the proposed scheme can increase the number of supportable devices by about 93 % compared with the conventional scheme.
