Abstract :
The spacetime triangle diagram technique is applied for investigation of scalar and electromagnetic waves emanated by pulsed line sources of finite cross section. It is shown that the integrals in the Riemann-Volterra solution can be rearranged, so that the innermost integral reduces to an analytical expression that, in contrast to its parent Bessel functions, has no oscillating behavior and is of limited support.
