Prospects of university-based IT-outsourcing through the example of ONPU´s participation in the TEMPUS project ?IHSITOP?

In this paper we cover the prospects of University-based IT-outsourcing using the example of Odessa National Polytechnic University´s participation in the ≪IHSITOP≫, which is a TEMPUS project. The pilot project was carried out in two stages. At the first stage the students who would take part in the project were selected and taught the basic outsourcing skills. At the second stage, the exact workload and the design requirements were determined and the product requirements document was compiled. The main problems typical of the outsourcing projects in which a group of students takes part were determined.
